Do you take insurance? How much do you charge?
At this time, I do not accept any insurance. My current fee for sessions are:
Individual Therapy: $180/50 minute session
Couples Therapy: $200/50 minute session
In order to best serve those that I meet with, I do not take insurance in order to maximize the time I have to dedicate to the work we do together, rather than competing with insurance companies on consistently justifying our work. I want to be able to use as much time as possible to continue to develop my own skills to best serve you.

What are some ways I could afford paying out of pocket?
Many private insurance companies, as part of your policy, have “Out of Network Benefits.” I use a telehealth platform that also automatically creates what is called a “SuperBill” which serves as a receipt for our sessions that you submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. I’ve had clients be able to be reimbursed depending on their policy. I highly recommend calling your insurance company and asking about these benefits, in addition if there is an “Out of Network Deductible” to meet before you are eligible for reimbursement. Please do not hesitate to ask questions about this!

How long does a session last? Do you meet in person or virtually?
I meet with both individuals and couples for 50 minute sessions.
I currently only meet with clients virtually. I use a secure platform that handles all aspects of the logistics of our work including sending links, reminders, and handling paperwork and billing as well.

How do we get started? What is the process of setting up an initial session?
As someone who loves clear steps, I appreciate this question!
Send an inquiry via my website or Psychology Today profile with your name, email, and a few brief sentences on what you are looking for. If I have spots, I will get back to you within 5 business days.
I will reach out to you and we will set up a brief 15-minute phone call to ask each other some questions.
At this point, if you would like to move forward, I will send you intake paperwork to fill out before our first session.
At our first session, we will review intake paperwork and start developing a plan to begin our work.

Would we be a good fit?
Another great question! And it may take a couple of sessions to know!
Generally, if you align with any of my specialities or identities that typically see, that is a good start! After this, clients should know that I come ready to work in session and I will bring warmth, compassion, humor, and clarity. I also appreciate that if this is your first time seeing a therapist, we may spend a session or two discussing how we “do” therapy!
